Episode 9 — The road ahead
Episode 9 looks at dotmap’s roadmap — from expanding events to company profiles and lightweight opportunities — and how the platform will evolve without losing its simplicity.
dotmap is still early, but the direction is becoming clearer.
The upcoming milestones focus on expanding visibility and strengthening the ecosystem — without adding noise or complexity.
More event visibility
Events will become more prominent, helping:
- communities find each other
- regions highlight activity
- professionals discover opportunities nearby
Small meetups matter just as much as large conferences.
Lightweight company profiles
Companies deserve a presence on the map too — but without becoming a job board.
The goal is to show:
- tech teams
- hiring focus areas
- organizational presence
- event hosting
Clear, minimal and map-integrated.
Opportunities, without feeds
Rather than a traditional job board, dotmap will offer a simple way for companies to post roles linked to their location.
No algorithmic feeds.
No bidding.
No spam.
Just clear opportunities where they actually happen.
Future exploration: an open ecosystem
An open API is a possibility — if it enhances visibility and community tools without complicating the product.
Integrations should feel additive, not intrusive.
